Zombies in the Mall

In 1978 I was a photographer in Pittsburgh and among other things did freelance assignments for Pittsburgh Magazine. I was assigned to spend two nights on the set of “Dawn of the Dead” and took a number of pictures. Three were used for the Magazine article. These are some of the images form those nights.

Richard, I remember this well. I was just graduating CMU Drama School – had a job teaching a theater company at the Jewish Community Center in Squirrel Hill. Got the kids a couple of days work on this set. They loved Tom Savini!

  That’s interesting, did you know Art Cohen or Gary Mitchell. They both worked there at some point. Tom still lives in Pittsburgh according to my ex students from the Ivy School. Small world, eh?
