DreamMap Kindle Price lowers to $.99 on Saturday

We are getting close to publishing our sequel to DreamMap. We both liked the first book but love the sequel Worlds Apart. If you have never read DreamMap, there is a three page summary as an Introduction in Worlds Apart. You can also read a sample on Amazon. However we recommend reading DreamMap first.

To encourage that, if you purchase DreamMap by clicking on the link in the right hand column you will be able to buy the Kindle Version for just 99 cents. If you purchase the trade paperback you will get the Kindle version for free. Click here to go to DreamMap.

Flame Out

This image always reminds me of the end of summer. It’s a close up of a flame on a tiki torch that I took years ago near summer’s end. It is fascination to take pictures of flame’s at a slow shutter speed. The wind makes the flame dance and with a shutter speed of 1 second or more creates unique patterns. Who says you can’t see the wind.

Pecos National Monument

Being laid up all summer with a bad back has kept me from doing a lot of photography. To calm my creative need I have been doin a lot of editing and reimagining images. This is The Pecos National Monument near Santa Fe New Mexico. The original was in color but reproducing in monochrome creates a whole different mystery.

Which do you like better?

A Lily Found

I haven’t been able to shoot much this summer being hobbled by a bad back. I have been spending my time instead editing and reimagining old images. I shot this lily years ago at our house in the Pocono Mountains. I remember thinking when I took it that I was treating this like a portrait with a key light. The shadows on the leaves of the stamen create a certain drama to the image.
