She’s a brick—-house
Mighty mighty, just lettin’ it all hang out.
I almost walked right by this old house along the Palm Canyon Trail in Indian Canyons of the Palm Desert. The house is almost the same color as the stone that surrounds it and blends right in. In order to get the house to stand out for this photo I needed to apply some masking, color and contrast adjustments in post production. Although empty now, you can imagine Native Americans living here centuries ago. You can buy a print of this one and see others at my commercial gallery.

Beautiful picture. Can you tour?
There must be tours through Palm Canyon. We were there in Summer so we got there when it opened to avoid the heat. Would be better to be there in Winter or Fall.
Everything is better in fall and winter!!!!! Haha. I was there last Nov.. And it was gorgeous! I did a blog about the arts festival.
Spoken like a true Californian, however, Pennsylvania where I live is much better in Spring and Summer than winter 😉
Yes, I agree. I’ve visited your fair state in both, and I much prefer summer.
really great photo I love coming across scenes like that and wondering about the history behind them.
Thanks! That house may have been there for centuries, makes you think.
