Autumn Weeds

Man describes what is a weed, not nature. In our garden I pull these out with a passion yet on a walk in the woods even these pests show the beauty of the autumn season in the mountains.

Model Snapshots

Earlier this week I posted a portrait My Favorite Model, who just happens to be my wife of 42 years so I have taken a lot of pictures of her in the different stages of her life. Here are a couple of snapshots from the old days. She still has the ability to look through the lens rather than at the lens so at some point I will have to do a retrospective of her look through five decades. These images are not for sale.

My Favorite Model

I have published a number of images of fashion models that I worked for back in the day however have never posted any images of my favorite model. My wife, now of 42 years was always my best model. She had the ability to look through the lens rather than at the lens. Most good models have this skill but most of them are professionals and she was not but she did have the skill and appearance to pursue that career had she wanted to. In any case, this is a portrait I took of her in 1977 and it is still one of my favorites. This image is not for sale.

My Favorite Model

I have had a wonderful life so far and over the years photographed a lot of people. However, my favorite model has always been my wonderful bride. This year we celebrate our 42nd year of marriage and we are still happy and in love. Isn’t that the way it is supposed to work? This is her in the early 1970’s near Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Junior Misses

In the early 1980’s I photographed two Pennsylvania Junior Miss candidates with another photographer from State College Pennsylvania. The shoot was entirely black and white. At the time I was fascinated with using Doctor Martin’s Dyes to hand color monochrome images to create color effects. We didn’t have Photoshop back then. This is one of the better ones I did.
