I understand that the origins of the swastika go back a long time in history. The earliest swastika known has been found in Mezine, Ukraine. It is carved on a late paleolithic figurine of mammoth ivory, being dated as early as about 10,000 BC. I also know that this building was built in Chicago in the early 1900’s long before Nazis. Maybe it is my Jewish heritage but I couldn’t live in this building and wonder why the owners didn’t remove this a long time ago. Could you live here?
