The waters at Lettuce Lake Park in Tampa Florida are dark and foreboding but very clear. The dark waters make this scene a little ominous. Is an alligator lurking below or some terror from a Stephen King Book? Sometimes my imagination gets the best of me.

Storks have a full life. I mean just think about delivering all those babies! This is Lettuce Lake Park in Tampa and this is where they go to hang out during their down time. I try not to disturb them and let them have their r and r.

It took a while to get a picture of this bird. You would think it would be easy. This is a large stork but good at putting his head in the swamp looking for food and hiding behind trees. This was taken at Lettuce a Lake in Tampa.

There is a park in Tampa Florida called Lettuce Lake which gets it’s name from a unique vegetation that flourishes in the lake. There are many beautiful water birds including this little guy which I believe is some sort of Grebe.
