Millennium Park is located in the Chicago Loop and best known for it’s world famous structure called Cloud Gate (The Bean). However scattered through the park are other sculptures. The one designed by Frank Geary is not only art but functions as an acoustic band shell for the outdoor amphitheater and concert venue. You can bu a print of this one and see others at my Commercial Gallery.

A Face in the Crowd
Millenium Park in Chicago is a wonderful park known for the Cloud Gate Sculpture or as locals call it, The Bean. Next to The Bean is a small plaza featuring two gigantic talking heads having a discussion. I have to go back at night. See other pictures from around the world at my commercial site.
Suddenly Everything Has Changed
This is another video from a few years ago set to the music of the Flaming Lips. Stay tuned for new images from Chicago!

Back to Chicago
We are Headed off tomorrow to see our family in Chicago. Yesterday, I was converting old videos and found this piece of nonsense which was shot in Chicago but has little to do with the great city or my family. It is a little surreal which is probably while I like it. Please let me know your thoughts and I will be back with more in about a week. Have a great Easter and Passover to everybody!

Castle and Moat
Before visiting Holland I had seen a few Castles in France and Belgium but was always disappointed that they didn’t have moats. Any movie I ever saw that had a castle had a moat. I don’t know if this qualifies as a Castle. In Holland Castles and Palaces are called Slot. This is Slot Zuylen outside of Utrecht and it does have a moat! Spring at the Keukenhoff
It is worth it to go to The Netherlands if the only thing you do is visit the Keukenhof. The park is 32 hectares wide and has 15 kilometres of footpaths so you can’t see it all in a day. There are wonderful Inns and hotels nearby if you wish to extend your stay. If you like Tulips go in the early spring but each season offers amazing garden views and activities for young and old. This image was taken in the rain during April and you can purchase a print and see others on my commercial gallery by clicking here.
Amsterdam 2001
This week I have been posting images from Holland. Hinda and I visited Amsterdam in April 2001 and we both can’t wait to go back. Next time we will go in May when it is a little warmer and the tulips are in bloom. This is a view of one of the many canals. You can see more images or buy a print of this one at my commercial gallery.
Lahaina Ship Wreck
While having lunch in Lahaina we saw this shipwreck in the harbor. I couldn’t help but wonder how long it had been there, probably since the last major storm. However as I took this picture I couldn’t help but think back to Lahaina’s history when the old sea town was frequented by Whalers and Pirates instead of tourists. You can buy a print of this on my commercial gallery by clicking here.
Diamond Head
I was very unimpressed with Honolulu and Waikiki Beach. Maybe it is because I visited Kauai and Maui many times before ever spending any time on Oahu except for the airport. Maybe it was because I thought Miami had better beaches. Maybe it was because Honolulu reminded me of Miami. Maybe it was because of all the street hustlers and the crowded beaches. In any case the one thing I did like was Diamond Head. It was a great place to hike and quiet and serene compared to noisy Waikiki beach. You can buy a print of this on my commercial gallery and see other images by clicking here.
Playing at the Beach
Whenever we travel on vacation we miss our dog so we tend to glom on to other peoples dogs. These two were playing on the beach at Kaanapali beach in Maui near a Maui Family Sunday Picnic. Making friends with the dogs got us invited to the picnic. Got to love the friendliness of the Hawaiian people.
