Plant Gladiolus for Bright Summer Color

Gladiolus is a genus of perennial flowering plants in the iris family. It is sometimes called the sword lily and is a beautiful addition to any summer garden. If you plant them in the Spring they will bloom in Summer. Plant them again in the summer and they will adorn your fall garden.

Hey, Who You Calling a Pansy?

Pansies are derived from the viola species and are colorful hybrid flowers that bloom in the spring. Pansies are perennials but in colder climates may not survive winters and future generations become smaller and less colorful. This is a close up of one growing in our Pocono Mountain garden. You may buy a print of this image and see others at my commercial gallery.
