Global Warming Cactus

We have had this Cactus for at least ten years. It use to bloom every December like clockwork. You know when it use to snow in December. Last few years it began to bloom around Thanksgiving. This year is the first year in bloomed in October. I figure if global warming continues it will soon be a Memorial Day Cactus.

Studies In Glass Brick #3–Christmas Cactus

When we moved off the mountain last year we had to leave our Christmas Cactus behind. So we had to acquire a new one which rewarded us with a single but beautiful bloom.

Studies In Glass Brick #2–The Orchid

Some friends stayed at our house over Thanksgiving while we were away. Being good guests they left this beautiful Orchid behind. At first I thought it was fake, nothing out of nature could look like that. However it is beautiful and natural. A perfect candidate to live in front of the glass brick in our new luxurious bathroom.

Study in Glass Brick–Test Shots

We have different types of glass brick windows in our new house. The light coming through the windows is amazing so yesterday I did a couple of quick test shots. The test shots proved the concept and although I don’t really like this image, I am excited to see what I can do with a tripod and additional lighting.

Call Me Mister Pepper

When you think of vegetables do you think of sex? I think most people would say no! However, every now and then you may come across a potato, squash or pepper that will make you wonder. I think most adults when looking at this pepper would think it is definitely a male and maybe looking for some action. You can buy a print of this hung pepper at my commercial gallery by clicking here.
