In scanning my old negatives I found this one of Carole in 1976. Together we assembled quite a portfolio during two different sessions. This one was taken in front of blooming roses at Rolling Rock in 1976. You can see others from my models portfolio by clicking here.

Art School Model
In the 1970’s I taught photography at the Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh and still I am in touch with some of my former students today thank to Facebook. Occasionally I would take a shot or two in the studio while they experimented with lighting. This is a multiple exposure done during one of those sessions. You can purchase a print of this image or see others at my commercial gallery.
Waiting on a Train
If you have been following this blog, you may remember this model form a previous post entitled “All Aboard”. Here she is in another shot from the session in a 1970’s style coat. You can see more model photography and buy a print on my commercial site by clicking here.
Naked Lunch
Inspired by William S. Burroughs, I took a series of images using only a 35 MM slide projector for lighting. You can see another even more provocative image of this series by clicking here.. Trish Begley was the model and she need to hold very still and exhibit complete patience during this shoot. You can buy a print of this image at my commercial gallery by clicking here.
ACE
Back in the day, I had a Dog named Ace. We were told he was a toy collie, when he was one year old he weighed ninety pounds. Ace had a knack for being in the way. In this shot I was shooting a model in a fur jacket on a piano bench with a 6 x7 CM camera which had pretty high resolution. This was the bottom half of one of the shots. Eventually he laid down on the couch and we could finish the shoot. You can buy a print of this image at my commercial gallery by clicking here.
Kim at the Barn
A long time ago I used to shoot photographs for model’s portfolios. Most of these were done in my studio under controlled lighting. Kim was a model that I used for my Photography classes in Pittsburgh and she wanted to have some fashion photographs in exterior locations. We found this old deserted barn and did most of the shots outside the barn where there was decent light. I have always like this one the best however and think it is one of the best back-lit images in my collection.
