I have always been fascinated by watching male behavior around women. Unlike me, most men will not glance at an attractive woman if there is any chance they will be caught ogling. They will suck in their guts until they pass out but not venture a glance. I on the other hand just don’t give a damn.

Stealth Stork
It took a while to get a picture of this bird. You would think it would be easy. This is a large stork but good at putting his head in the swamp looking for food and hiding behind trees. This was taken at Lettuce a Lake in Tampa.

There is a park in Tampa Florida called Lettuce Lake which gets it’s name from a unique vegetation that flourishes in the lake. There are many beautiful water birds including this little guy which I believe is some sort of Grebe.

Mayan Perspective
The Temples of Chichen Itsa may not be as large the Great Pyramids but they were built in a very short period of time. Archaeologists believe that their construction occurred within a single generation and have discovered older temples under the ones visible today.

This is the Royal “Box” on the Ball Field at Chichen Itsa. The culture was advanced enough to have sporting contests that were a cross between Quiddich and soccer. Of course there was no witchcraft but archeologists know that players were beheaded but it is unclear if it was the winners of losers.

Mayan Iguana
There was an iguana that lived near the parking lot at the Westin Lagunamar. Every time I saw him, I either had only my wide angle zoom lens and when I was carrying all my gear or the telephoto lenses he was nowhere to be found. Clever Iguana that one. This one at Chichen Itsa seemed to want to pose for the camera however.
