I took this a long time ago. It was a 35mm Ektachome image which I scanned in 2010. I wish it was a little sharper but I like the color and composition.

Relic from The Past
I love the way shore birds seem to rise up to greet the rising sun. At the beach in Atlantic City there are mostly gulls but hearing them call out to the morning sun is a great way to start any day and is soothing to the soul. You c see other images and buy prints at my commercial site.
Recently my wife and I celebrated our 42nd Wedding Anniversary (June 6). Last week my wife retired from her job as a High School French Teacher. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter in our life will be although it will probably begin with the publication of my first novel. We are now editing the novel together. In any case these events require a little celebration so tomorrow we are off to Revel in Atlantic City and have a spa day on Wednesday at the Bask Spa. Why, because we deserve it. Absecon is a city within Atlantic City New Jersey. This is not as unusual as it may seem. Beverly Hills,Burbank and Paradise Nevada are just a few of the many cities within cities. It was first incorporated in 1862 as a New Jersey town. The lighthouse is older than the town and was first lit in 1857. Abescon Lighthouse
In 1968 I spent a summer in Atlantic City driving an electric “Blue Chair” on the Boardwalk. The chairs were like electric golf carts but some of the old timers had these wicker push carts. Now there are no more electric carts and you have to have some biceps to push people around all day. Most people think you are nuts if you tell them you are going to Atlantic City for Christmas. Not too crazy for a non-Christian though.
