The Lake at Central Park

The Lake at Central Park on the West Side of Manhattan is the second largest body of water in the park after the reservoir. You can rent row boats if you are so driven or rent bikes to ride around the park. If you live in the city nothing is more fun on a summer Sunday than being in the park, if you live in the mountains where I live, it’s no big whoop. Amsterdam 2001

This week I have been posting images from Holland. Hinda and I visited Amsterdam in April 2001 and we both can’t wait to go back. Next time we will go in May when it is a little warmer and the tulips are in bloom. This is a view of one of the many canals. You can see more images or buy a print of this one at my commercial gallery.

Absecon Light

Absecon is a city within Atlantic City New Jersey. This is not as unusual as it may seem. Beverly Hills,Burbank and Paradise Nevada are just a few of the many cities within cities. It was first incorporated in 1862 as a New Jersey town. The lighthouse is older than the town and was first lit in 1857. It is the third tallest lighthouse in the United States and beautifully maintained. You can buy a print of this image and see others at my commercial gallery by clicking here.
