Bass Hands

Chris Wood from Medeski,Martin and Wood is one of the world’s best bass players. During their current “acosutic tour” he played three different basses during the show. When he plays the “stand up”bass the instrument seems to become part of his body. Click here to see other images or by a print of this one.

Jazz Hands

After watching John Medeski play the piano and I can’t help but wonder if they have to retune the Steinway after every performance. This picture was taken at Medeski, Martin and Wood playing the Sherman Theather in Stroudsburg Pennsylvania on October 11,2012. Chris Wood Portrait

Last night we saw Medeski, Martin and Wood at the Sherman Theather in Stroudsburg, PA. I have been a fan for many years but never saw them play. The show was awesome and even better because if we had stayed home we would of watched the Steelers lose. Chris Wood is a an amazing bass player and really holds the trio together. Not only is he fun to listen to but he is very expressive physically. You feel the upright bass is welded to his body as he moves around the stage. This is the first of a series and you can purchase prints at my commercial gallery by clicking here.

Waiting on a Train

If you have been following this blog, you may remember this model form a previous post entitled “All Aboard”. Here she is in another shot from the session in a 1970’s style coat. You can see more model photography and buy a print on my commercial site by clicking here.

The Production Assistant

I don’t know her name or official title, but she was clearly one of the Production Assistants on the 1978 Production of Dawn of the Dead. She was very friendly and helpful and extremely busy. Each shot started with her announcing the shot and take, just like in the movies! You can buy a print of this slice of history at my commercial site by clicking here.
