The funny thing about make up is that after time and heat it starts to melt away. This can be very problematic for Zombies since there whole appearance is usually make up based. During breaks and downtime on the set of the Dawn of the Dead (1978) you wold see the make up artists roaming throw the throng of Zombies touching up the makeup as required. Script Review
On a movie set there is a lot of down time, waiting time, non productive time. Producers hate this but Directors take advantage of it. While the crew was setting up and blocking a scene for Dawn of the Dead (1978), George Romero used the time to review the script and decide on his next moves. Happy Independence Day!
There is no place in the United States that knows how to celebrate American holidays better than New England. Since I have family there, I always spend Thanksgiving there and sometimes the 4th of July as well. A few years ago I went with my family to the Sudbury Massachusetts Independence Day parade. Sure other towns also have great parades but do they have Minutemen? You can buy a print of this image on my commercial site by clicking here.
At The Lake
There is nothing that pleases a dog more on a hot day than being at the lake with his buds. This is Shadow, Miss B and Tilly at a Pocono mountain lake.

Le Roller
The world’s largest skating event takes place every Friday night in Paris France, it is called Pari-Roller. Similar events occur in other european cities, but none as large as the Paris event. The skaters begin to gather at Gare Montparnasse around 9:30 and get the week’s skating route. At 10 P.M. close to 10,000 skaters have gathered and begin to skate through the city until 3 A.M. Some dress in costumes, some are part of teams and some just come to watch, like me. This guy was the best and you can buy a T-shirt by clicking here.
At Prayer
One thing you can never forget while traveling through Italy is that it is indeed a Catholic country. The city of Milan is covered with graffiti as I have commented in other posts but there is not a single drop of paint on any church. I really believe that that this is because graffiti artists are too respectful of their religion and gang bangers are too scared. Ewwww!
I love the art of street photography. I think I like it because if you do it right, the photographer is only recording and not impacting the emotion or action of a scene. Ever since I learned about the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle I felt an obligation as a photographer to minimize the observer effect when shoot on the street. This was taken while waiting for my family while they were shopping in Chicago. Had the young lady seen me, I doubt if she would have reacted so strongly to the Wicked Advertisement. Happy Father’s Day
My father died at age 65, way too young. I still miss him and think of him but don’t have any really good pictures of him. My parents had already moved to Florida when I started to become a competent photographer. How ever, I have a million pictures of my daughter and thanks to my wife a few of me and my daughter.
If Looks Could Kill
t was a very hot afternoon in Milan Italy. The sun was relentless and around 3 PM we headed back to our hotel after a rough day of touring. As we neared the Westin Palace Milano we came across a fashion photography shoot on the street. The crew was yelling at each other, maybe because of the heat or maybe just ineptitude. The model looked hot, flabbergasted and near passing out as she waited for the photographer. Last week I posted what I thought was the best of this series . However, I like this one also because her facial expression shows how she really feels about the whole situation. You can buy a print of this image at my commercial site by clicking here.
