Spring Brings Hope and Joy
Yesterday I was mulching our garden and staging it for our open house this weekend. We have three gardens in our Pocono Mountain home. I don’t know if potential buyers realize the significance of having any garden in a terrain this rough. When we bought this house it was new and hardscaped, not landscaped. I personally moved four tons of top soil into the gardens and after ten years of mulching and composting it actually looks pretty good. I wish the day lilies were open this weekend because they are magnificent but potential buyers should like the blooming daffodils, tulips and periwinkle. Lilies on the Mountain
At the base of Iao Needle Park in Maui is a beautiful International Garden we vist almost every time we are on Maui. The park is great and led these young men in to the spirit of the dance. You can buy a print of this on my commercial gallery and see other images by clicking here.
Dance in the Garden
Outside of vernon France about an hour from Paris is Monet’s house at Giverny. I always had the feeling that Monet was near sighted and too vain to wear glasses which explained his unique style. However, after seeing his house and gardens at Giverny I changed my opinion. I think he painted what he saw. This photo has great depth of field and is in focus, yet it is “soft” in appearance due to the willow trees and other vegetation. You can buy a print of this image at my gallery by clicking here.

Every summer we have special visitors as the hummingbirds fly up from the south to visit. They seem to love red flowers the best so we plant flowers specifically to attract them. Summer Hummingbirds
Nothing means summer more to me than seeing sunflowers in bloom. Sunflowers are right up there with boston coolers, watermelon and ball games. These are Canadian sunflowers that I captured wile visiting the Jardin botanique de Montréal which is a wonderful place to visit while in Montréal.
