A number of years ago I made a video entitled Bodies In Motion. I didn’t like it. So I remade it a while back and never published it. Hope you find it entertaining. The only video I ever did creating most of the sound track in Garage Band.

We had hoped in retirement to travel the world. So far we have done a pretty good job with trips to Mexico, Hawaii, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain and The Czech Republic. However the pandemic has stopped all of that for a while. So while waiting for Africa, Alaska and Scandinavia, our current travel is going to have to be virtual. Today’s stop Milan in Northern Italy. Many bypass this city for Rome or Florence but Milan has its own fascinating history and is the gateway to the beautiful lakes of Tuscany.

I published the full color version of this image in 2008 entitled Graffiti and The Girl. In looking back I realized that the image suffered from too much color and too much clutter.
I decided to edit the vision and after cropping to remove some of the clutter, I did some masking and selective color. I think the result is stunning.

Around 4 pm in the afternoon these women were waiting for a van pickup back to their hometown after their work day ended. The difference in their reactions to me was astounding. Shot in La Isla shopping center on La Isla Dora.

Last week Dale Schmitt and I opened our photo exhibition, Moments and Souls at the Percolate Gallery in Pittsburgh. I realize that many of you can not make it in to the gallery so over the next few weeks I will be publishing “the moments” that were my contribution to the show.
This image was taken in 2014 on a beach near Tulum Mexico and is another example of the misdirection I use to tell a story.

Along with Dale Schmitt of Pittsburgh, I am pleased to announce our photo exposition at The Percolate Art Space in Pittsburgh. The exhibition runs from November 8,2017 until December 2,2017.
Richard Burke and Dale Schmitt have over 80 years of combined photographic experience. They are both eclectic photographers with broad portfolios of commercial and artistic work. They photograph people but approach that part of their portfolio in completely different ways. Richard is all about capturing the decisive moment and Dale is a creator of portraits that capture the souls of his subjects.
Join us at the gallery to celebrate the human experience!
In order to whet your appetite we will be posting some outtakes. These are images that did not make the final cut for the exhibition but may be part of a book based on the show concept. This one was photographed during a fashion shoot when my dog Ace decided to join us.
