A Hundred Places I Went To Before I Died

My book has been available for about one year now and sales have been underwhelming which is kind of understandable for a personal publication like this. In any case it is still on Amazon, “A Hundred Places I Went To Before I Died” (ISBN/EAN13: 1475261535 / 9781475261530.) and available for $25 with free shipping. To get your copy, click here.

Artistic Elevator

Just about everything in the Pompidou Centre expresses modern art. As you take the escalator to the higher floors you are treated to Soundscape by former Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart. The elevator to the ground floor is also a work of art and changes appearance depending on the position of the ascending or descending elevator. See more images from Europe and buy prints at my commercial gallery.

She’s a Brick House!

She’s a brick—-house
Mighty mighty, just lettin’ it all hang out.

I almost walked right by this old house along the Palm Canyon Trail in Indian Canyons of the Palm Desert. The house is almost the same color as the stone that surrounds it and blends right in. In order to get the house to stand out for this photo I needed to apply some masking, color and contrast adjustments in post production. Although empty now, you can imagine Native Americans living here centuries ago. You can buy a print of this one and see others at my commercial gallery.

Palm Canyon

Outside of Palm Springs California is a park called Indian Canyons. There are a number of trails but the most popular is the Palm Canyon trail which is 15 miles long. A natural spring creates a swath of palms and other greenery in the rough rock canyon and desert terrain. You can see other images from the California desert like Joshua Tree at my commercial gallery.
