I have been posting a few sunset images from our hiatus to Clearwater Beach this winter. This is the last sunset picture from the trip. Next year we plan to spend two months in Dunedin Florida just 500 feet from the St. Joseph Sound so we will be adding lots of sunsets to the collection but for now adios Clearwater beach, bring on Spring!

Sunset View
Lincoln Park is an upscale neighborhood of Chicago and has a strong German heritage and European feel. From a rooftop you can get a feel of how spread out the City is. Even at two miles from downtown Chicago with an 18mm Wide Angle lens it is difficult to capture the entire skyline. This is Chicago from a rooftop terrace.

Autumn Weeds
The Centre Pompidou is a modern art museum in Paris that is truly one of the best in the world. Modern art both astounds me and makes me laugh. I saw this work at the Centre Pompidou that was a string of plain white Christmas lights haphazardly put on the wall with a little card that said “Untitled” and the name of the artist. It made me laugh so hard I had to leave the area. This is a view of Paris from the roof of the Centre Pompidou.

The North End of the Atlantic City Boardwalk was for years not the highest rent district. All that has changed with the Revel Resort. This glass architectural beauty has a giant globe on top that is programmable. It normally looks like a large golf ball but they can change the color. One of the security guards told me on Halloween it was a giant eye like the eye of Sauron. I don’t know if I believe him It also has a world class spa by Bask, fantastic restaurants and is a smoke free environment including outdoor areas except for a small area of the casino. Revel Reflections
A few years ago a friend of ours celebrated their 50th Birthday with a brunch at the Rainbow Room atop of Rockefeller Center in New York City. You don’t have a career like mine without eating at some fabulous Restaurants. I have dined in a Belgium castle, in the mountains of Japan and at fine restaurants in many countries. I have never been a real fan on Brunch, however the spread at the Rainbow Room was something special. From fresh sushi to hand carved roast beef and lamb, this was a magnificent place to have a special brunch. When you are done you can see one of the best views in Manhattan from the Top of The Rock. Orléans France is a sister city to New Orleans and while they have much in common they are fundamentally different. They both offer scenic beauty, architecture and are along important rivers. Both cities serve great food to their guests and have wide choices in dinning. New Orleans however is edgy, vibrant and sometimes a little vulgar. Orléans is almost bucolic in nature; they keep their edgy in Paris which is an hour away by train. This is a street in in Orléans adjacent to river Loire. The Pompidou Center is one of the greatest modern art museums in the world. If you manage to get all the way to the top you will also see one of the great views of Paris. It is worth the ride up the giant escalators listening to the drumscape provided my Mickey Hart just to see the view. Of course the top floor has some great exhibits too.
