One for the Ladies

One of the ways you stay married for 42 years is to have open, honest and continuous conversations with your spouse. As a photographer I am lucky since my wife was and still is my best model and when shooting my wing woman. I love taking photojournalist and candid pictures of people and my wife is always pointing out the pretty woman and in turn I always alert her to the studly men. I took this one for her in a park in Milan Italy and want to share it with my female fans. You can see other images at my photojournalist gallery.

Human Statues

Human statues are fun to watch and seem to be very popular in Europe. During our last trips we encountered them in Amsterdam,Paris,Milan and Como. In Paris we saw two or three different ones. I am amazed at how still they can be and enjoying watching other people’s reaction to them. . This one had some problems though, it was very hot and he or she was squirming around in their suit creating some weird poses for a mummy. You can buy a print of this one and see other images at my European gallery.

Brera Fortune Teller

Brera is the arts district of Milan in Italy. The streets are lined with great restaurants, galleries and street vendors. At night women set up tables outside and read people’s fortunes with tarot cards and other mystical devices. This cigar smoking seer caught my eye. Just Another Maui Sunset

One of the advantages of staying at Ka’anapali Beach in Maui is that each day you are treated to a beautiful Sunset. Sure very rarely it may rain but one of the most difficult decisions of the day is where to view the setting sun. In summer I like to be dinning on the beach at The Barefoot Bar or Pacifico and see the setting sun as we enjoy cocktails before dinner. In the winter, it is fun to be in Turtle Bay or Black rock to see the cliff divers. You can see other stunning Maui vistas on my commercial site by clicking here.

Brera at Night

A great place to dine in Milan is in the Brera which is one of the arts districts in the City. It was not far from our hotel and i asked the Concierge if it was safe to walk and he assured me it was. We had a lovely dinner and walking back we saw this young coed walking by herself through the streets and realized it surely must be safe. Chair Ride

In 1968 I spent a summer in Atlantic City driving an electric “Blue Chair” on the Boardwalk. The chairs were like electric golf carts but some of the old timers had these wicker push carts. Now there are no more electric carts and you have to have some biceps to push people around all day. It is still the easiest way to get up and down the boardwalk although I prefer walking. You can buy a print of this image and see others at my commercial gallery by clicking here.

He Went That Away!

I still have no idea what this was all about. One Gendarme looks totally bored while the other listens patiently while the man’s girlfriend who is out of this frame looks fervently through her purse. The Gendarmes changed direction and walked, albeit slowly in the direction the man pointed. The man and his girlfriend followed them. A robbery? Directions? No clue. This was shot in the gardens of Luxembourg Palace in Paris France. You can see other more traditional images at my European gallery by clicking here.

The Taste Buds

Penn State University had a fraternity fund raiser called the Phi Si 500. It was a race, where runners had to run a mile and stop and drink a beer at a number of bars along the way. They would frequently do so in costume. This is Bud Man leading the Taste Buds to the next bar in State College PA during the 1980’s. The University and the City finally agreed to prohibit the race and the Fraternity created a more standard fun raising event. You can purchase a copy of this print by clicking here.

The Pigeons of Duomo di Milano

In the center of Milan is Il Duomo di Milano which is one of the largest cathedrals in Europe. It seems to me that most of the Cathedrals that I have visited are hosts to crowds of people and flocks of pigeons. Milan is no different, beggars will sell you food to feed the pigeons and although I personally don’t feed the birds, there is no shortage of people who seem to find this practice exciting and entertaining. You can buy this and other prints from my European collection by clicking here.

Almost a Kiss

Here is another one from my “Kiss” series and another candidate for my future book. This was taken outside a Cafe on the Trocadéro Plaza in Paris France. Does it qualify as a Kiss or is just a near miss? You can buy a print of this image and see others at my European Gallery by clicking here.
